Job summary

Clicks Group is seeking a Store Manager in the Eastern Cape. You will lead store operations, drive sales, manage stock, and ensure brand standards.

You will develop a high-performing team, schedule staff, and maintain excellent customer service to achieve club card participation and sales targets. Essential: Grade 12 and a relevant Diploma/Degree in retail/finance management or pharmacy, with at least 2 years in store management within retail/FMCG.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths 50% and English 50%
• B Degree or Diploma in retail/finance management, pharmacy or related (External applicants)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
• Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
• Drive and maximise store sales with daily/weekly/monthly targets.
• Manage Expenses, stock, shrinkage, and general administration.
• Oversee in-store merchandising and visual standards to align with brand image.
• Develop and lead staff through selection, training, and development.
• Schedule staff per labour policy to ensure full department coverage.
• Implement customer service initiatives to enhance experience and loyalty.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and opportunities.
• Monitor customer trends and competitor activity for opportunities.
• Foster a high-performing culture delivering employee engagement and shareholder value.
