Job summary

Clicks Group invites applications for an Assistant Store Manager (Top) at Clicks V & A Waterfront in Cape Town. You will report to the Store Manager and support daily store operations, drive sales, and build customer loyalty while maintaining the brand’s service standards.

Qualifications

Must have Grade 12 with Maths and English at 50% or higher.
Desirable: degree in Retail/Business Management.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as an assistant store manager or completing Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
Financial management experience including budgets, P&L, and financial ratios.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in achieving sales, profit and compliance targets.
Drive sales through promotions and cross-selling; deliver excellent customer service.
Manage store operations: expenses, stock, shrinkage, housekeeping, and admin.
Lead in-store visual merchandising to align with brand image.
Motivate and direct staff, manage rosters, and cover in the Store Manager’s absence.
Ensure weekly time and attendance and HR records are submitted.
Support the brand vision as the customers’ first choice health and beauty retailer.
