Job summary

P&L Soweto is seeking a Cabifit Manager (External Applications Only) to protect and grow market share and profitably manage store operations in line with store, area and company strategy.

The role requires strong leadership, administrative skills, OHASA knowledge, and the ability to manage stock, deliveries, customer service and asset controls. Experience in retail/wholesale and a Grade 12 or higher, with a valid driver’s license and own transport, are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Grade 12 with at least 3 years related Retail/wholesale management experience or 5 years related Retail/wholesale experience.
• Experience in carpentry products and cutting & edging would be an advantage.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must have well developed Business Acumen.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy).
• Must have strong Leadership Skills.
• Must have strong Administrative Skills.
• Must have own transport and cell phone.
• Must have sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with OHSA and/or neighbouring Countries legislation.
• Must have strong Human Resources Management Skills.

Responsibilities

• Issuing and follow up of quotations to generate sales.
• Quote process and control Special Orders.
• Ensure estimations and cutting list correct and completed within the agreed timeframe.
• Conduct Competitor Analysis to ensure competitiveness of the Store.
• Ensure the minimising of wastage and customer complaints through accurate calibration of machines according to cutting list.
• Promote Loyalty Programmes (VIC and Charge Card Customers).
• Manage an efficient delivery service and ensuring that the correct rates are charged.
• Grow and protect Profitable Market Share
