Job summary

homechoice is a leading South African homeware retailer known for delivering quality products at affordable prices. The Store Supervisor supports the Showroom Manager in achieving sales targets, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to policies in the showroom.

You will oversee daily front-line activities, manage stock and cash processes, and provide coaching to staff to improve efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a retail environment.
• Minimum 3 years in retail administration or operations.
• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4.
• Strong understanding of stock, cash handling, and internal controls.
• Proficient computer literacy and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Showroom Manager in driving sales performance and showroom productivity.
• Ensure daily sales activities align with targets and promotions.
• Monitor floor activity for staff visibility, engagement, and standards.
• Coordinate and manage administrative procedures in line with policies.
• Ensure stock receiving, storage, cycle counts, and variances are tracked.
• Ensure cash handling procedures are executed accurately and reconciled.
• Supervise showroom staff and support onboarding and training.
• Compile and submit operational, stock, and compliance reports.
• Promote health, safety and compliance in the showroom.
