Job summary

Homechoice is seeking a Store Supervisor to assist the Showroom Manager in driving sales and showroom productivity. You will oversee daily operations, stock handling, and frontline staff, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

The role requires strong retail experience, cash-handling acumen, and the ability to supervise and train a team while maintaining accurate reporting and adherence to internal controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a retail environment.
• Minimum of 3 years in retail administration or operations.
• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4 (minimum requirement).
• Strong understanding of stock, cash handling, and internal control processes.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work on retail and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Showroom Manager in driving sales performance and showroom productivity.
• Ensure daily sales activities align with targets and promotions.
• Monitor floor activity for staff visibility and selling standards.
• Coordinate and manage administrative procedures and operational processes.
• Ensure showroom processes (inventory, receiving, frontline operations, and administration) are followed.
• Conduct routine checks to identify risks and elevate to the Showroom Manager.
• Support stock control processes and cycle/stock counts.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile cash flow between POS, safes, and banking.
• Supervise daily showroom staff activities and support onboarding/training.
• Compile and submit operational, stock, and compliance reports.
