Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Pharmacist at our Optenhorst Store in the Western Cape. You will dispense medications, provide pharmaceutical expertise to patients and healthcare professionals, and ensure the safe and effective use of prescription medications.

Essential requirements include BPharm, SAPC registration, and 2–3 years of retail pharmacy experience. The role offers a market-related salary and benefits in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• Min 2–3 years' experience in Pharmaceutical.
• 2-3 years retail pharmacy experience.
• Computer literate – MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing of Medication under direct personal supervision of Pharmacist.
• Accurately interpret scripts and ensure compliance with SAPC and legal requirements.
• Capture script details accurately and verify patient details on the system.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling and checking of medications.
• Provide clear instructions to patients on medicine usage.
• Process paperwork for submission of claims to medical aids.
