Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity for a Pharmacist at our Optenhorst Store in Western Cape. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical expertise to patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safe and effective use of prescription medications.

Essential requirements include BPharm or equivalent, SAPC registration, Matric, 2–3 years pharmacy experience, and 2–3 years retail pharmacy experience; computer literacy is needed.

Qualifications

• Essential pharmacy knowledge with counselling experience.
• Ability to interpret scripts and counsel patients on medication usage.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications under supervision, ensure accurate labelling and safety.
• Provide excellent patient and healthcare professional service at the dispensary and front-shop.
• Process claims to medical aids and manage patient profiles in the system.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with stock takes.
