Job summary

P&L Retail seeks an experienced Retail Operation Manager for External Applications at Kromhoek. You will protect and grow market share and profit within the store, aligned to area and company strategy, with responsibilities spanning stock, HR, safety, and customer service.

Minimum 2 years in retail leadership, strong MS Office, and decisive leadership are essential to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Well-developed business acumen.
Ability to work under pressure.
Computer literacy required.
Strong leadership and administrative skills.
Own transport and cell phone required.
Sound knowledge of OH&S or local health and safety standards.
Strong Human Resources management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Issuing and follow up of quotations to generate sales.
Quote process and control of special orders.
Reading of building plans and ensuring quotations are correct and within the agreed timeframe.
Manage telephone calls, answer and follow ups.
Conduct competitor analysis to ensure store competitiveness.
Communicate bulk deposit transfers to customers.
Promote loyalty programmes (VIC and Charge Card customers).
Deliveries: manage delivery service and ensure correct rates; timely dispatches.
Develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with company strategy.
Grow and protect profitable market share and manage stock movement and controls.
Asset control: stock, cash, fixed assets, and safety equipment; ensure OHASA compliance.
Human Resource management: recruit, train, develop, and manage staff performance.
