Job summary

Cashbuild in Brits, North West, is seeking a General Assistant (External Applications Only - Lethlabile) to deliver in-store customer service and merchandising support.

Responsibilities include advising customers, resolving complaints, and maintaining stock labels and planograms. You must communicate in English and the local language, have Grade 10/12, and be willing to work shifts to meet store needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related experience.
• Grade 12 without related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist Customers on correct products and queries.
• Assist with and resolve Customer complaints.
• Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and according to Store layout plan.
• Ensure area fully merchandised according to store layout and planograms.
• Ensure area is free of obstacles and safe for customers.
• Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility.
• Complete checklists when on duty with canteen and facilities schedule.
• Safety (OHSA) compliance within area of responsibility.
• Report discrepancies or damaged stock to Store Manager.
