Job summary

Dis-Chem Mokala Mall in Kuruman is seeking a Frontshop Assistant to uphold merchandising standards and support customer service at the point of sale in line with Dis-Chem policies and procedures.

You will ensure full ranges are on shelves, maintain stock, assist with restocking, process payments, and keep the storeroom tidy. You will also rotate stock, check prices, and follow safety procedures to deliver friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 or Matric or Senior Certificate.
• 0–6 months retail work experience preferred.
• Advantageous: 1 year retail experience or certification in Retail Business Management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full ranges of products are on the shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock on shelves to prevent expiry and out-of-stocks.
• Restock merchandise to maximise sales and assist customers with queries.
• Process purchases and handle payments (cash, cards, vouchers).
• Exchange merchandise and accept returns as authorised by Frontshop Leader.
• Keep storeroom tidy and report price discrepancies to management.
• Provide friendly, helpful service and train new staff where needed.
