Job summary

Dis-Chem Glenvista is seeking a Frontshop Assistant to uphold merchandising standards while supporting customer service at the point of sale in line with Dis-Chem policies.

The role requires a Matric (Grade 12) or Senior Certificate and up to 6 months retail experience, with advantageous certification in Retail Business Management and up to 1 year in retail. You will manage shelf presentation, stockkeeping, cashier duties and customer assistance to drive sales.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have Grade 12/Matric or Senior Certificate.
• Retail experience up to 6 months is acceptable; advantageous if 1 year.
• Basic computer skills including Word/Excel/Outlook are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full product ranges on shelves and ensure neat presentation.
• Stock shelves, check sell-by dates and restock to maximise sales.
• Handle customer payments and process transactions accurately.
• Assist customers, answer questions and report stock issues promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping and adherence to policies and safety rules.
