Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Cosmetic Frontshop Assistant for our Scottburgh Mall store to uphold merchandising standards while supporting customer service at the point of sale in line with Dis-Chem policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include maintaining stock, ensuring shelf integrity and sell-by dates, processing payments, and assisting customers with a friendly, professional approach. This role requires retail experience and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• 0–6 months retail experience.
• 1 year cosmetics retail experience is desirable.
• Retail or related field certification.
• Computer literate – MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full ranges are on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock to prevent sell-by-date issues.
• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Handle cash flow and process payments accurately.
• Approve line voids and price changes with supervisor.
• Exchange/return goods per policy when authorized.
• Process all payments (cash, cards, vouchers, coupons).
• Store delivered stock in correct space promptly.
• Confirm stock on shelves is within sell-by dates.
• Provide friendly, helpful assistance to customers.
• Follow up on out-of-stock queries using the list.
• Deposit cash in the drop safe per SOPs.
• Verify all payments per Dis-Chem procedures.
• Adhere to security policies and password usage.
• Ensure all stock/items are scanned and paid for.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies and safety rules.
