Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking an experienced Retail Branch Manager to oversee daily operations of a busy store in Gauteng. You will lead creditors, debtors, sales teams and floor management, ensuring cash controls and stock accuracy while driving growth.

You will build strong customer relationships, monitor gross margins, and produce weekly reports. A decisive leader with a solid retail background and ownership mindset will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Finance/Commerce/ Retail related qualification advantageous.
• Retail management experience preferred over formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy retail branch
• Lead and manage the creditors, debtors, sales, and floor management teams
• Perform daily cash-ups and ensure financial controls are maintained
• Monitor stock levels, stock movement, gains, losses, and stock control procedures
• Review debtors and creditors reports and provide regular feedback to management
• Drive sales performance and identify growth opportunities within the business
• Monitor and analyse gross profit margins
• Prepare and submit weekly operational reports
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ensure merchandise is correctly displayed, priced, and barcoded
• Maintain high merchandising standards throughout the store
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and performance-driven culture

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' of retail experience in a management capacity
• Proven leadership and people management experience
• Strong understanding of retail operations and stock management
• Experience managing sales teams and achieving sales targets
• Excellent understanding of debtors, creditors, and cash controls
• Strong customer relationship management skills
• Strong administrative and reporting capabilities
• Experience working with POS systems
• SAP knowledge advantageous
• Exposure to irrigation, agricultural products, hardware, or related industries advantageous
• Strong work ethic with the ability to take ownership of a retail environment

Qualification:

• Relevant Finance, Commerce, Retail, or Business qualification advantageous
• Practical retail management experience will be considered more important than formal qualifications
