Job summary

JVR Software in Cape Town's Winelands area seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily dining operations across all dining areas, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

You will collaborate with the Sommelier on wine selections, manage recruitment and rosters, and oversee stock, budgets and compliance with food safety standards for a luxury establishment.

Qualifications

• Must be a South African citizen and reside in the Cape Town Winelands area.
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification; a tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Food Services Management is advantageous.
• 2–3 years of Restaurant Manager experience in a five-star or luxury establishment.
• Strong knowledge of fine dining, food and wine; wine certification or equivalent experience is advantageous.
• Experience in Gourmet Guide- or Eat Out-aligned fine dining establishments will be beneficial.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, planning and organisational abilities.
• Confidently engages with distinguished guests, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and presentation.
• Highly attentive to detail, ethical, reliable and adaptable.
• Able to perform under pressure and work flexible hospitality hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Reliable transport
