Job summary

J2E Placements is seeking a Residence Manager for Student Accommodation in Stellenbosch. The role leads residence life operations and oversees coordinators and support staff to create a safe, inclusive, learner-centred environment.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, 2–3 years in residence life, strong project management, and experience with student housing software. Must live in Stellenbosch and be able to start immediately.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• 2–3 years related experience in residence life or student housing.
• Knowledge of student development theory, residential education and crisis response.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Proficient in student housing software systems and general office technology.
• Experience developing residential programs and student engagement strategies.
• Knowledge of regulations in higher education housing.
• Valid driver's license and own transport.

Residence Manager (Student Accommodation) – Stellenbosch.

Our client, a Property Investments company, seeks a Residence Manager, for their Student Accommodation, to join their dynamic Team, who can start Immediately or as soon as possible at their offices in Stellenbosch.

Must live in or around Stellenbosch Area.

Must preferably be available immediately!

Salary: R20 000 per month, depending on experience.

Job Purpose:

The Residence Manager holds the primary responsibility for leading and supporting the residence life operations for all the residences.

This individual plays a key leadership role in fostering a safe, inclusive, learner-centred environment while overseeing the performance and professional development of the Residence Coordinators and support staff.

The Manager collaborates with campus partners, upholds institutional values, and ensures operational excellence across the Lifestyle Residences.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• 2-3 years related experience
• Deep understanding of student development theory, residential education, and crisis response
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Proficiency in student housing software systems and general office technology
• Experience developing and assessing residential programs and student engagement strategies
• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations and best practices in higher education housing
• Valid License and Own Transport
