Placements24 is seeking a skilled Geologist specializing in Reservoir Characterization to join our exploration and production team in Stellenbosch. You will evaluate subsurface structures, define reservoir properties, and support exploration and development strategies within the Oil & Gas sector.

The role requires strong modeling, data analysis, and collaboration with geophysicists and reservoir engineers. You will use Petrel, GeoModeller, and SKUA-GOCAD to build integrated models and prepare

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in geological interpretation and reservoir characterization.
• Proficiency with major geological modeling tools and seismic interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Construct and interpret geological models from well logs, seismic data, and production data.
• Perform reservoir characterization to define rock properties and heterogeneity.
• Identify exploration targets and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with geophysicists and engineers to integrate data into models.
• Prepare geological reports and recommendations for management.
