Job summary

Hospitality Hire in the Western Cape is seeking a skilled Reservations Supervisor to lead a busy reservations team and drive booking accuracy across all channels. You will partner with Front Office, Sales and Marketing to support occupancy and revenue initiatives, while maintaining top-tier guest service and process standards.

The role requires at least two years in a 4- or 5-star hotel, proven leadership, Opera PMS expertise, and strong communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Hospitality qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Reservations Supervisor within a 4 or 5-star hotel.
• Experience in a high-volume reservations environment with revenue conversion.
• Proven leadership experience supervising, coaching and developing a reservations team.
• Strong knowledge of Opera Property Management System.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone and email etiquette.
• Strong administrative, planning and organisational skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyse booking trends and support revenue optimisation.
• Guest-focused with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible to work shifts and operational requirements.
• South African Citizens only. NO work permits

Responsibilities

• Support the Reservations Manager with the daily operation of the reservations department.
• Supervise, coach and develop the reservations team to achieve departmental goals.
• Ensure all reservations are processed accurately and efficiently across all booking channels.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by responding promptly to guest enquiries and resolving booking issues.
• Monitor reservation quality standards and operational efficiencies.
• Assist with occupancy and revenue optimisation initiatives.
• Prepare and compile daily reservations reports.
• Maintain strong working relationships with Front Office, Sales, Marketing and other operational departments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and industry best practices.
• Oversee the reservations function in the absence of the Reservations Manager.
