Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Wind Turbine Technician to support maintenance and diagnostics for wind farms worldwide. This fully remote role requires strong electromechanical knowledge and self-motivation to operate with minimal supervision.

You will monitor performance via SCADA, guide on-site teams, document actions, and contribute to safety and efficiency initiatives from a home office setting. Experience in remote troubleshooting and continuous learning in renewable energy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or similar electromechanical role.
• Strong knowledge of wind turbine systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
• Proficient in SCADA and remote monitoring/diagnostic tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication for remote teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time remotely.
• Solid understanding of energy sector safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor turbine performance using SCADA and diagnostic software.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues affecting operations.
• Guide on-site technicians and engineers through repair and maintenance steps.
• Analyze data to predict failures and recommend preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, diagnostics, and resolutions.
• Develop remote diagnostic protocols and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in virtual meetings and remote operations improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies remotely.
