Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Wind Turbine Technician Supervisor for a fully remote role with extensive travel to wind farm sites. Lead a team of technicians, ensuring safe, efficient maintenance and repairs, while monitoring performance to maximize energy output.

The successful candidate will have 6+ years in wind turbine maintenance and at least 2 years in a supervisory role, with strong SCADA and CMMS skills, and a proven track record in safety leadership.

Qualifications

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years in wind turbine maintenance/operations, with 2+ years in supervision or team lead.
• Proven troubleshooting and repair expertise for wind turbines.
• Strong understanding of SCADA and performance monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for wind farms.
• Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage remote teams and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of wind turbine technician teams across multiple sites.
• Ensure maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities meet safety and manufacturer standards.
• Monitor turbine performance data and implement optimization strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits of maintenance programs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Investigate and resolve complex turbine operation issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed site operation and performance reports.
