Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Engineer to contribute to essential public utility projects in the Welkom region and surrounding areas. You will design and implement water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines and pumping stations, supporting sustainable water resource management across the Free State.

The role requires a BEng or BTech in Civil or Environmental Engineering with ECSA registration, 7+ years of water/wastewater experience, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• BEng or BTech in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• ECSA registration as Professional Engineer or Technologist is required.
• Minimum 7 years of water and wastewater experience is required.
• Proficiency with hydraulic modelling software (EPANET, InfoWorks WS) and process design is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop conceptual and detailed designs for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Conduct hydraulic modelling and analysis for water and wastewater networks.
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and contract administration for projects.
• Oversee construction and commissioning of water and wastewater facilities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health standards and water quality legislation.
