Placements24 is seeking a Lead Telecoms Network Engineer to spearhead design, deployment, and optimization of complex networks in a fully remote work structure. You will guide a distributed team, set technical direction, and ensure project success while driving operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in telecom network engineering, leadership experience, and deep knowledge of BGP/OSPF, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• 7+ years in telecom network engineering, with 2+ years in lead/supervisory role.
• Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python) and CI/CD.
• Strong cloud networking knowledge (AWS, Azure).
• Excellent leadership and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and management of complex network infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a distributed team.
• Develop and implement network standards, best practices, and automation strategies.
• Troubleshoot high-level network incidents to minimize business impact.
