Placements24 is seeking a visionary Principal Telecoms Software Developer to lead architecture and deliverables for our telecommunications platforms. This fully remote role allows you to shape technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive high-impact projects across distributed teams.

You will design scalable systems, evaluate new technologies, and ensure code quality through reviews and best practices while collaborating with product teams to translate complex requirements into robust

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; PhD preferred.
10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years in telecommunications.
Expertise in C++, Java, or Python and related frameworks.
Strong knowledge of telecom protocols (SIP, SS7, Diameter), network programming, and distributed systems.
Proven leadership and remote-working experience.
Experience designing fault-tolerant, large-scale software systems.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation of high-performance telecom software.
Define software architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
Mentor developers through code reviews and pair programming.
Collaborate with product management to translate requirements into solutions.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance product capabilities.
Troubleshoot defects and performance issues in production.
