Placements24 is seeking a Remote Virtual Event Producer to design, plan and execute engaging virtual events for a global audience. This role is fully remote from South Africa and requires strong technical and creative leadership to deliver high-impact online experiences.

You will manage end-to-end production, coordinate speakers, ensure platform feasibility, and optimize budgets. A Bachelor’s degree and proven experience in virtual events are preferred for successful applicants.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of experience in event production, with strong virtual or hybrid focus.
• Expertise in managing and operating Zoom Events, Hopin, Cvent, Bizzabo or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of AV tech, streaming services and digital production workflows.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills for multiple projects.
• Outstanding communication and client management in a remote setting.
• Creative problem-solving and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
• Experience budgeting and managing event finances.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Digital Media or related field preferred.

About the Role

Our client, a leading innovator in digital event experiences, is seeking a highly creative and technically adept Remote Virtual Event Producer to join their fully remote team. This role is essential for conceptualizing, planning, and executing engaging and seamless virtual events, conferences, and webinars for a global audience. As a remote-first company, we leverage state-of-the-art technology and collaborative tools to deliver exceptional online experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage complex event logistics, work with diverse stakeholders, and ensure technical proficiency in various virtual platforms. You will be responsible for bringing events to life in the digital space, ensuring smooth execution and delivering high-impact experiences from wherever you are based in South Africa , be it Paarl or beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end production of virtual events, including conferences, webinars, and online workshops.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define event objectives, target audience, and creative vision.
• Select and manage virtual event platforms, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal user experience.
• Develop detailed event run sheets, production schedules, and contingency plans.
• Coordinate with speakers, moderators, and presenters to ensure smooth delivery of content.
• Manage technical aspects of virtual events, including streaming, audio-visual integration, and interactive features.
• Oversee registration, attendee engagement, and post-event analytics.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time during live events.
• Manage event budgets and vendor relationships for virtual event services.
• Continuously research and implement best practices in virtual event production and engagement.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in event production, with a strong focus on virtual or hybrid events.
