Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Upstream Process Engineer to join a fully remote, global technical team. You will optimize oil and gas processing stages, develop simulations, and support project delivery with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and environmental performance in a flexible work setup. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in upstream process engineering, strong thermodynamics knowledge, and proficiency with HYSYS and Aspen Plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 6 years of upstream oil and gas process engineering experience.
Experience with process simulation software (HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
Strong thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer knowledge.
Experience in process safety management and risk assessment.
Excellent analytical and communication skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize upstream processes, including separation, dehydration, and gas sweetening.
Develop process simulations and models to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot operational problems and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth production.
Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with operations, reservoir engineering, and facilities teams to support project development and execution.
Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and recommendations for process upgrades.
