Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Simulation Engineer to join its fully remote technical team. You will model, analyze, and optimize chemical processes for the Oil & Gas industry using advanced simulation software, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance across global projects.

You will develop models with Aspen Plus or HYSYS, perform design and optimization studies, contribute to safety analyses, and report findings to project teams while collaborating in a virtual environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in process simulation and modeling in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with leading process simulation software packages.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic and steady-state process models using industry-standard simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Perform process design and optimization studies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Conduct safety studies, including relief system design and hazard assessments, through simulation.
• Support operational troubleshooting by analyzing process data and identifying root causes of performance issues.
• Generate technical reports and present simulation results and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with process engineers, project managers, and other disciplines in a virtual environment.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in process simulation technology and methodologies.
