Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of experience in insurance underwriting.
• Knowledge of life, health, property and casualty products is preferred.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment abilities with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Assess risks using company guidelines and data analytics.
• Determine policy terms, conditions and premiums based on risk.
• Communicate underwriting decisions and rationale to agents and brokers.
• Collaborate with sales and claims to resolve queries and provide underwriting expertise.
• Stay updated on insurance products, market trends and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to underwriting policies to maintain portfolio quality.
• Identify process improvements within underwriting functions.
• Manage a pipeline of applications to meet turnaround times.
