Placements24 is seeking a Transportation Engineer with a focus on traffic management and ITS design. This remote role aims to improve traffic flow, safety, and sustainable mobility across urban and regional settings.

Responsibilities include data analysis, traffic studies, and collaboration with planners and agencies to implement effective solutions using VISSIM/Synchro, while contributing to reports and strategic traffic planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation specialization.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA.
• Minimum 7 years in transportation engineering, focusing on traffic analysis and management.
• Proficiency in traffic modeling and simulation software.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, highway capacity, and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies, data analysis, and capacity assessments to identify network deficiencies.
• Design traffic control plans, signal timing, and geometric improvements for roads and intersections.
• Develop and implement strategies for traffic demand management and sustainable transportation modes.
• Utilize traffic simulation software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro) to model and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with urban planners, government agencies, and stakeholders to integrate transportation plans.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for traffic improvement projects.
