Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Transportation Engineer to join our fully remote team and lead the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.

You will work on roadways, highways, and public transit networks from a home office, mentoring junior staff, conducting analyses, and ensuring compliance with standards while communicating with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation engineering and project delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation Engineering specialization.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HCS, Synchro, or VISSIM.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and project management of transportation infrastructure projects.
• Conduct traffic analyses, capacity studies, and simulation modeling.
• Develop engineering designs, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with relevant transportation standards, regulations, and environmental policies.
• Mentor and guide junior transportation engineers and technical staff within the remote team.
• Engage with clients, public agencies, and stakeholders to present project proposals and findings effectively.
