Placements24 is seeking a Transportation Engineer to plan, design, and analyze road networks and public transport infrastructure in Sandton. You will help improve mobility and safety across Gauteng.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with Transportation specialization, with Pr Eng registration preferred and at least 6 years in transportation planning and design. Proficiency in VISSIM or Synchro is essential, along with strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation focus.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of transportation planning and design experience.
• Proficiency in traffic analysis software such as VISSIM or Synchro.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies and capacity assessments for roads and intersections.
• Design road alignments, pavements, drainage and signage.
• Develop traffic signal timing plans and multimodal strategies.
• Prepare traffic management plans for projects and events.
• Coordinate with authorities and stakeholders for approvals.
