Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a warm, experienced Toddler Caregiver & Educator for a part-time, fully remote role serving families in and around Upington, Northern Cape. You will provide virtual guidance on development, behavior, and activities for toddlers (ages 1-3), and deliver tailored advice to parents and caregivers.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Certificate in ECD (Bachelor's degree preferred) with 2+ years’ remote or in-person toddler experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or related field.
• A Bachelor's degree is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with toddlers in childcare or educational settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for remote guidance.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote guidance and support to parents/caregivers of toddlers (ages 1-3) on child development, behavior, and learning.
• Develop and share engaging, age-appropriate activity ideas and resources for toddlers at home.
• Conduct virtual consultations and check-ins with families to address concerns and offer personalized advice.
• Monitor developmental milestones and provide proactive recommendations for support.
• Create and deliver online workshops or webinars on toddler care and development.
• Maintain professional communication with families via email, video calls, and other digital channels.
• Stay current with research and best practices in early childhood education for toddlers.
• Collaborate with internal team to refine remote service delivery and resource development.
• Maintain accurate records of family interactions and progress.
• Promote a positive and supportive approach to parenting and early childhood care.

Education
