Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Early Childhood Educator to join a fully remote team serving South Africa. You will lead development of age-appropriate, play-based curricula and deliver engaging online sessions for children aged 2–6.

You will mentor junior educators, collaborate with curriculum designers, and maintain strong communication with parents to track development and engagement in a digital learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in early childhood education with at least 2 years in a senior/leadership role.
• Proven experience designing and delivering engaging online content.
• Strong understanding of child psychology and age-appropriate methodologies.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with parents and colleagues.
• Experience with online platforms and digital learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement play-based, remote-friendly learning modules for ages 2–6.
• Facilitate engaging online sessions and manage virtual classrooms.
• Provide guidance and feedback to children and parents on milestones and challenges.
• Collaborate with curriculum designers and educational technologists to enhance resources.
• Conduct regular assessments and report on children's progress using online tools.
• Stay current with research and best practices in remote early childhood education.
• Mentor junior educators within the remote team and support professional development.
• Maintain clear communication with parents/guardians regarding development and engagement.
