Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Telecoms Network Security Specialist to bolster cybersecurity defenses for telecommunications infrastructure. This fully remote role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures, monitoring traffic for threats, and responding to incidents across South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in network security, with telecoms focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Monitor network traffic and security logs for threats; analyze and respond.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing.
• Respond to and manage security incidents (investigation, containment, remediation).
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and telecoms relevance.
