Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security across telecom networks in a fully remote role. You will lead threat mitigation, conduct security assessments and pentests, develop and enforce network security policies, and respond to incidents.

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, you will stay ahead of evolving threats and technologies, with CISSP/CCNP Security desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field; equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in network security, with telecom focus.
• Deep knowledge of security protocols and threat landscape.
• Hands-on with firewalls, SIEM, endpoint security.
• Certifications CISSP or CCNP Security desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security measures across the telecom network (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, encryption).
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, performing forensic analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into design/deployment of services.
• Stay abreast of evolving threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in telecom security.
