Placements24 in Randburg is seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Security Analyst to safeguard the company’s telecoms infrastructure and data against evolving cyber threats. You will lead security initiatives and coordinate with IT and network teams.

The role requires deep cybersecurity expertise, hands-on vulnerability assessment, and proven incident response leadership, with a track record in securing telecommunications networks and implementing advanced controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of information security experience with focus on telecom networks.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM and related security tools.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH or GIAC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in telecom networks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor security alerts and analyze threats; lead incident response.
• Design and deploy security solutions: firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption.
• Stay current with threats and technologies and recommend security enhancements.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to integrate security into operations.
