Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Telecoms Network Security Analyst to join a fully remote security team. You will monitor security alerts, investigate threats, implement controls, and respond to incidents while collaborating with security professionals to maintain a robust security posture.

Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and VPNs, plus conducting vulnerability assessments and delivering security awareness training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Security Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and common cyber threats.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
• Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security systems for threats using SIEM.
• Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement remediation strategies.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard network assets.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
