Placements24 seeks a visionary Telecoms Network Architect for a fully remote role. You will design scalable, secure networks, evaluate new technologies, and guide strategic roadmaps with cross-functional teams across regions, including Paarl areas.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of telecom network design experience, expertise in routing, switching, MPLS, SDN/NFV, and cloud networking, and a proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Deep understanding of routing, switching, MPLS, SDN/NFV, and cloud networking.
• Proven track record leading technical initiatives and influencing stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design scalable, secure, and highly available telecom network architectures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption to enhance capabilities.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for network evolution and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are implementable and meet requirements.
• Provide technical leadership on complex network design challenges.
• Define network standards, best practices, and security policies.
