Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Remote Telecom Network Architect to design the future of our telecommunications infrastructure. This fully remote role lets you shape our network strategy from anywhere, delivering scalable, resilient high-performance networks.

You will lead high-level designs for core networks, guide technology choices, and mentor network engineering teams, with opportunities to influence global connectivity.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Expert knowledge of IP networking, routing protocols, optical networks, and wireless technologies.
• Proven experience with NFV and SDN.
• Ability to architect large-scale carrier-grade networks and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective telecommunications network architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, standards, and solutions to enhance network capabilities.
• Lead the technical evaluation and selection of network equipment and software vendors.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for network evolution, including 5G, SDN, NFV, and cloud integration.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure designs are implementable and align with operational best practices.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to network engineering teams.
