Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecom Network Architect to shape our client's global telecommunications strategy in a fully remote capacity. You will lead high-level design, strategy, and roadmaps for complex networks, translating business needs into scalable, secure architectures.

You will guide engineering teams, evaluate new technologies (5G, SDN/NFV, cloud-native networking), and create comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Deep knowledge of 5G, SDN/NFV, and cloud-native networking.
• Extensive IP networking experience: routing protocols, MPLS etc.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategic architectural vision for the company’s telecommunications network.
• Design scalable, high-performance network architectures for core, edge, and access layers.
• Lead evaluation and selection of new network technologies, platforms, and vendors.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and product teams to align designs with business goals.
• Create comprehensive architectural documentation including blueprints and standards.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to network engineering teams.
