Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Telecoms Solutions Architect for a client with a global, distributed team. The role focuses on designing advanced telecom solutions across voice, data, and converged services while operating fully remotely from South Africa.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in telecommunications network design and architecture, strong IP networking and 4G/5G expertise, and proven ability to create scalable, secure architectures with clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
Expertise in IP networking, 4G/5G, cloud networking, and VoIP/UC.
Ability to design complex, scalable and resilient network solutions.
Excellent communication and remote presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of end-to-end telecommunications solutions (voice, data, converged services).
Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and blueprints.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and vendor solutions.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management for project delivery.
Provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle and establish architectural standards.
