Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain corporate network infrastructure in a remote capacity. You will handle system configuration, performance monitoring, and user support to ensure reliable telecom operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in network administration, familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network monitoring tools, and can work independently with minimal supervision from anywhere in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in IT or Telecommunications.
• 2-4 years of experience in network administration, preferably in a telecom environment.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and network monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities, suitable for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain network hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security, identifying and resolving issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources.
• Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
• Install, configure, and upgrade network software and hardware components.
• Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.
