Placements24 is seeking a Junior Telecom Network Administrator to join our IT team in a fully remote role supporting Klerksdorp operations. You will develop hands-on expertise while assisting with monitoring, maintenance, and incident response, under guidance of senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in IT, networking or telecommunications.
• Basic TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP understanding.
• Familiarity with routers, switches and wireless access points.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Good remote communication skills for effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring network performance and ensuring telecom service availability.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including software updates and patch management.
• Respond to and resolve basic network incidents and user requests.
• Help configure and manage routers, switches, and access points.
• Maintain network documentation such as diagrams and asset inventories.
• Support senior administrators in implementing new network projects.
