Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Telecom Network Planner to drive capacity planning and network design across South Africa. The role is fully remote and involves forecasting needs, evaluating new technologies, and documenting plans to ensure scalable, reliable connectivity.

You will work independently with a dispersed team, analyzing traffic patterns, building business cases for upgrades, and staying current with industry trends.

Formación

• Bachelor's degreeRequired in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in telecommunications network planning or design.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, 4G/5G, and optical networks.
• Experience with capacity planning and traffic analysis techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze network traffic data and forecast capacity requirements.
• Develop long and short-term network plans including expansions.
• Design network architectures for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Evaluate new network technologies for future planning.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to align plans with implementation.
• Create detailed network design documents and specs.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
