Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Technical Support Engineer in South Africa to provide expert assistance for specialized equipment. This fully remote role enables you to work from anywhere within South Africa, diagnosing and resolving issues primarily through remote communication channels while maintaining thorough documentation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical support or field service engineering.
Deep knowledge of diagnostic equipment and precision measurement tools.
Proficiency with remote support software and diagnostic tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Experience with ticketing systems and CRM software.
Must be based in South Africa with a stable internet connection.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote tools.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and system issues.
Guide clients through step-by-step equipment operation and maintenance.
Escalate unresolved issues to senior staff with detailed information.
Document all interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
Contribute to the knowledge base and FAQs.
Identify recurring problems and provide feedback for product improvements.
Assist in remote training of client personnel on usage and basics.
Stay current with product updates and new releases.
Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely support.
