Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer for a fully remote position within South Africa. You will provide advanced technical support, diagnose complex issues, and collaborate with engineering to improve software. The role requires 5+ years in tech support, strong SDLC knowledge, and programming familiarity (Python/SQL/JS).

Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable. You will create technical documentation, train clients, and ensure high client satisfaction

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in technical support, software support, or similar engineering role.
Strong understanding of software development life cycles and troubleshooting methodologies.
Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for software applications and systems.
Diagnose, document, and resolve complex technical issues reported by clients.
Collaborate with development and engineering teams to identify bugs and improvements.
Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution of technical challenges.
Participate in product testing and provide feedback on new features and releases.
Assist in onboarding and training of new clients on software.
