Job summary

Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a Remote Technical Recruiter to join a fast-paced technology firm. You will own end-to-end recruitment for software, data, cybersecurity and IT roles from anywhere in South Africa, engaging both active and passive candidates using modern sourcing tools.

You will partner with hiring managers, conduct technical screenings and behavioral interviews, and strive to provide an exceptional candidate experience while staying ahead of tech trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in technical recruitment.
• Proven track record of filling challenging technical roles.
• Strong understanding of technologies, programming languages and software development methods.
• Experience using modern recruitment tools, ATS and social sourcing platforms.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical roles across software, data, cybersecurity, and IT.
• Source active and passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow and networks.
• Conduct technical screenings and behavioral interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand requirements, team dynamics, and role expectations.
• Build and maintain relationships with candidates to provide a positive experience.
• Stay current with tech trends and sourcing best practices to attract niche talent.
