Qualifications
- Admitted attorney with ≥6 years in technology law and IP.
- Experience in IP prosecution, enforcement, and IP-related transactional work.
- Strong knowledge of software licensing, data protection laws (POPIA, GDPR), and cybersecurity principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage and protect the company's Intellectual Property portfolio (patents, trademarks, copyrights).
- Draft, review and negotiate technology-related agreements (software licenses, SaaS, development contracts).
- Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, and digital media law.
- Conduct IP due diligence for acquisitions or partnerships.
- Develop and implement IP and technology compliance strategies.
- Provide guidance on emerging technologies and associated risks and opportunities.
