Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Management Consultant specializing in Supply Chain Optimization to advise and transform client supply chains across South Africa. You will analyze complex networks, identify improvement opportunities, and implement transformative, technology-driven solutions from any location.

The role emphasizes working with a remote advisory team, leading cross-functional projects, and delivering measurable efficiency gains for a diverse client base nationwide.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain consulting, operations management or logistics.
• Proven expertise in supply chain optimization, network design and Lean.
• Proficiency with supply chain software, data analytics tools, and simulation modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management in remote contexts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client supply chains including logistics, procurement, and inventory.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
• Use analytics and modeling to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.
• Advise on best practices for resilience, risk management and sustainability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and locations to drive transformation.
