Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Subsurface Geologist to join its exploration and production team. You will interpret seismic data, build 3D geological models, and identify hydrocarbon targets from a fully remote setting.

With a Master's degree in geoscience and 7+ years in Oil & Gas, you will work independently yet collaborate with global subsurface teams, using Petrel and Kingdom Suite to drive reservoir understanding and project decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related geoscience field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in subsurface geology within Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with Petrel and Kingdom Suite; strong data integration skills.
• Strong understanding of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, and structural geology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze seismic, well log, and core data to build 3D geological models.
• Identify and evaluate hydrocarbon exploration targets and prospects.
• Characterize reservoir properties and estimate hydrocarbon volumes.
• Collaborate virtually with subsurface teams and engineers.
• Prepare geological reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on geological software and techniques.
