Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Geoscientist to join a globally distributed exploration team. You will interpret seismic data, build 3D geological models, and assess prospects to guide oil and gas exploration from anywhere.

The role requires 10+ years in oil & gas, advanced geoscience software skills, and strong remote collaboration abilities. It offers a fully remote setup with flexible hours and opportunities to work on international projects.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Geology, or related geoscience discipline.
10+ years of oil & gas exploration experience with seismic interpretation.
Proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom Suite, or similar geoscience software.
Strong understanding of structural geology, sedimentology, and basin analysis.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Interpret and integrate seismic, well log, and other geophysical data to delineate hydrocarbon reservoirs.
Develop and maintain 3D geological models of subsurface structures and stratigraphy.
Conduct prospectivity assessments and contribute to exploration portfolio management.
Collaborate effectively with geologists, petroleum engineers, and management in a remote setting.
Utilize advanced geoscience software and workflows for data analysis and visualization.
Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in geophysics and geological modeling.
