Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Subsurface Data Manager to oversee the integrity and availability of geological and geophysical data. You will establish robust data governance frameworks and ensure high data quality to support exploration and production activities.

Working remotely, you will collaborate with geoscientists, engineers, and IT specialists across a global team to implement efficient workflows and data management practices that drive operational success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of subsurface data management experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with Petrel, DLG, and RDM databases.
• Strong data quality, governance, and lifecycle knowledge.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce data governance policies for subsurface data.
• Oversee acquisition, validation, storage, and retrieval of subsurface data assets.
• Manage subsurface databases and data management systems.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across datasets.
• Provide training and support on data management tools.
